Store Reward Programs


Most stores these days have some type of loyalty program. These programs vary greatly but can be a great way to save money if you know how to use them.

Rite Aid - In May 2015 the Wellness+ program will become wellness+ with Plenti. You need to register with Plenti and Rite Aid. Points will be earned from buying certain items each week. The points then can be used to purchase other products.

Walgreens - Have to have a member card. They have a point system where you buy certain items each week to get points. The points then can be spent as cash on other products in the store. Another money back program they have is called Register Rewards. There are different offers each week that will give you a store credit coupon that can be used on your next transaction. They offer store coupons which can be stacked with manufacturer coupons.

CVS - Have to have a member card. Each week they offer different money back deals. You buy certain products and a store credit coupon will print on your receipt which is called an Extra Buck. Extra Bucks can be spent on your next transaction. They offer printable coupons on their web site and through emails. There is a redbox coupon printer and price scanner in the store which will give you store coupons when you scan your card.

Meijer - Meijer has mperks. This program requires a cell phone that receives text messages. You add digital coupons to your account. There is an app for this or use their web site. Enter your phone number at check out and it uses the coupons. There are rewards for buying products in certain categories that give you cash off your next purchase.

Kroger - You have to have a member card. They have load2card coupons that you load onto your Kroger Card (or affiliate store card). Most Friday's they offer a load2card coupon for a free item.

Kmart and Sears have the Shop Your Way rewards card - Sign up for this card. They have special events to double paper coupons up to $1. They only double the first 5 coupons you give them and you need to spend at least $25 on grocery and drugstore products for the coupons to double.

Target - They offer printable store coupons that can be stacked with manufacturer coupons. Their store credit card will give you additional 5% off your purchases every day. Target also has a text to your phone coupon program. They also have a coupon program called Cartwheel. They have money back offers each week when you buy certain items in store. It is possible to stack a store coupon, manufacturer coupon, Cartwheel offer and pay with your store credit card to save 5% all on one item.

Dollar General - Create an account on their website. You use your phone number at check out to use digital coupons and other offers. They offer printable coupons on their web site.

Kolh's - You need to sign up for their You Card that gives you points every time you buy something which then gives you money to spend in the store. They will send you lots of snail mail and email coupons for a percent off your purchase. There is no reason to pay full price for anything at Kolh's. They also do promotions of spend $50 get $10 Kohl's cash.
